The ACCUTRAK VPE-1000 is an ultrasonic detector designed for large institutional and industrial environments such as schools, hospitals, and hotels. It features digital LED indicators with both alphanumeric and bar graph displays, a digital peak hold function to retain the highest level for easy readability, and separate volume and sensitivity controls for zooming into sounds in noisy areas. Equipped with dual sensors with independent settings and excellent frequency response, the VPE-1000 detects compressed air, vacuum, refrigerants, and any gas. Typical applications include inspecting steam traps for live steam loss, checking internal valve leakage, identifying bearing wear and lubrication problems, inspecting electrical equipment for electric arcs, corona, and contact corrosion, and evaluating pneumatics, hydraulics, and vibration. The complete kit includes the VPE detector, touch probe and waveguide attachments, a comfortable headset, battery, manual, instruction video, and a hard case.
