The AXM-10-4-8 Expansion Module is an industrial I/O expansion unit designed to communicate with an ACM base via a twisted-pair, multi-drop AXM communications bus. Requiring a 24 VAC, 50-60 Hz power supply with a 20 VA minimum (half-wave rectified), the unit features 10 jumper-selectable 12-bit universal inputs that accept thermistor, dry contact, 0-5 VDC, 4-20 mA (without external resistors), or 0-10 VDC signals. Inputs 1 through 3 also support pulsed inputs with a 10 msec minimum pulse length. For control, the device includes 4 binary outputs rated at 24 VAC and 0.5 A, alongside 8 analog outputs driven by a precision D/A converter and DIP-switch configurable for 0-10 VDC or 0-20 mA. Both binary and analog outputs are equipped with Hand-Off-Auto switches for manual override, with analog outputs additionally featuring a potentiometer. H-O-A and potentiometer statuses are software-monitored, and output power sources are isolated from the module power. Featuring removable header-type screw terminals for simplified field wiring, the AXM-10-4-8 measures 6.95 inches high by 4.95 inches wide by 1.6 inches deep, and operates in environmental conditions ranging from 32 to 131°F and 0 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity.
