The ALS-2 HV.E.RC is an ambient light sensor designed to measure background luminance in accordance with FAA and ICAO guidelines for RVR applications. It features a regular configuration with hood heating, an RS422/RS485 output, and a built-in window demister. The unit operates with a measurement range of 2 to 40,000 Cdm-2, a measurement accuracy of 10% or less, a spectral response of 420 to 675nm with a 565nm peak, and a 6-degree field of view. The sensor requires a power supply of 9 to 36 VDC at 2W. Each ALS-2 HV.E.RC is supplied complete with a pole mounting kit, a user manual, and a calibration certificate.
