The OCD-S101G-1212-C10S-PRL is an optical absolute multiturn encoder designed for precise rotational feedback. Utilizing a mechanical transmission multiturn technology that requires no battery, it delivers a 12-bit singleturn resolution and a 12-bit multiturn resolution in Gray code format. The unit features an SSI interface with an RS422 output driver and a clock input via optocoupler, supporting a clock frequency from 100 kHz to 2 MHz and a cycle time of 25 microseconds or greater. Built with a steel case featuring cathodic corrosion protection and wet-painting, an aluminum 58 mm clamping flange, and a 10 mm diameter stainless steel V2A solid shaft with a flattened 20 mm length, this encoder provides robust physical protection rated at IP66 and IP67 for both housing and wave. Operating on a 4.5 to 30 VDC supply voltage, it includes reverse polarity and short circuit protection, and connects via a 12-pin radial M23 connector.
