The Soemer measurement amplifier, model DAS III, is a DMS measurement amplifier featuring a 5-digit LED display capable of 2,400 measurements per second. It allows up to 600 measurements per second to be read out through the serial interface. The unit supports the parallel connection of up to 6 DMS sensors with 350 ohms. Calibration is performed without weights by simply entering the signal in mV/V. For connectivity, it includes an optically isolated RS-422 4-wire or RS-485 2-wire interface for PCs and printers, three optically isolated limit value outputs via semiconductor relays rated at max. 35 VDC/AC 0.5A, and three optically isolated inputs with a 12 to 30 VDC logic level for external keyboard control. It also features a freely programmable analog output of 0/4 to 20 mA assignable to gross, net, peak, hold, valley, or mean values. Powered by an 11 to 25 VDC galvanically isolated supply drawing max. 4 watts.
