The AEMC C.A. 7028 is a simple test device designed for checking network cabling up to a distance of 150 meters. It allows users to detect faults and localize them down to the meter. This LAN tester is suitable for UTP, STP, FTP, and SSTP cabling with RJ45 connectors, as well as networks compliant with TIA578 A/B, USOC, or ISDN standards. In practice, it identifies issues such as interrupted, short-circuited, crossed pairs, separated, or inverted pairs. The C.A. 7028 includes a standard identifier for the far end of the cable to indicate test completion and error status, with the capability to use up to 9 identifiers for checking a distribution field of up to 9 wires.
