For coated materials, it handles steel from approximately 2 to 28 mm with paint or coatings fading up to 4 mm. It also measures sound speeds from 100 to 19,999 m/sec. The unit features automatic probe recognition, a multilingual plain-language user interface, and Windows-like file management storing up to 9,999 measurement values across multiple files. Data output is supported for printers and PCs. Housed in a splash-proof IP 54 enclosure with a shock-absorbing rubber protection frame, the device includes variable display modes, a display backlight, and limit alarms.
