The Oppermann 101654 ST-P-DA-24VR is an optical smoke switch operating on 16 to 30 V DC, supplied with a mounting base. Designed for room installation, it provides early detection of smoldering fires and fires involving smoke development using the scattered light principle. Inside the measuring chamber, the light transmitter and receiver are positioned so the beam cannot strike the receiver directly; instead, suspended particles scatter the light via the Tyndall effect to generate an electrical signal. An alarm relay with a potential-free changeover contact handles loads up to 24V / 1A. Visual status indicators include a red LED for alarms and a green LED to signal contamination and service needs. The unit operates within an ambient temperature range of -10 to +50 degrees Celsius and holds VDS test certificate G 298064 (Data sheet no. 40201).
