The Oppermann KRM-2 0.6 is a 24V AC/DC duct smoke detector designed for the early detection of smoldering fires and fires involving smoke. Operating on the scattered light principle, the unit features alarm threshold tracking for an extended service life and continuous contamination monitoring via a 2-digit clear-text LED display. The relay drops out when contamination exceeds 70 percent. It includes LEDs for smoke alarm, missing airflow, system fault, and operational readiness, alongside a push-button for resetting and functional testing. The smoke alarm relay features a potential-free changeover/break contact, and testing with spray is possible without opening the cover. Delivered with a 600 mm long air duct sampling tube, the unit measures 166 x 257 x 77 mm excluding the tube and features three M 16 cable glands. It is rated IP 54, or IP 65 with a weather protection roof (WDG), and operates in ambient temperatures from -20 to +50 degrees Celsius at air velocities of 1 to 20 m/s. It holds VdS approval G 210059.
