The Temptek CFD-5A is a 5 ton air cooled portable chiller designed for indoor operation. It operates on a 460/3/60 electrical supply with an approximate unit amperage of 17 FLA. This unit utilizes an air condensed refrigeration circuit featuring environmentally friendly R410A refrigerant, a digital scroll compressor with energy efficient capacity modulation from 20-100 percent, high and low refrigerant pressure limit switches and gauges, a filter dryer, sight glass with moisture indicator, liquid line solenoid valve, thermal expansion valve, a brazed plate evaporator with stainless steel plates and copper brazing material, and a high efficiency condenser with copper tubes and aluminum fins. The integral water circuit includes a 2 HP stainless steel pump with an ODP motor rated at 12 GPM at 52 PSI, a discharge pressure gauge, an automatic low flow bypass valve, a 25 gallon insulated non-ferrous reservoir with a sight tube, automatic water make up, and non-ferrous wetted surfaces. Control is managed via the TempTek CFD1 microprocessor control instrument housed in a NEMA 1 control cabinet featuring branch circuit protection and a thermoformed ABS control panel fascia. Built on a powder coated and galvanized frame with powder coated enclosure panels and mounted on casters, the system measures approximately 60 inches high by 34 inches wide by 40 inches long, weighs approximately 700 lbs, and features 1 and 1/4 inch FPT process connections.
