The PATCON 230 PRO regulator is an automatic voltage regulator engineered for the regulation, control, and monitoring of voltage power transformers. Built in a compact housing design measuring 218 mm in width, 324 mm in height, and 150 mm in depth including the mating plug, the unit features an IP54 protection type on the front and IP20 on the rear. Its basic equipment comprises a central processor unit, a power supply of 85 to 265 V AC/DC, an auxiliary voltage supply of 110 V DC for digital inputs, and measurement capabilities for 100 V AC voltage and 1 A or 5 A current with an output load under 1 VA. The PATCON 230 PRO supports parallel operation for up to 16 transformers via galvanic isolation on the CAN bus, allowing for tap synchronization in master/follower configurations and circulating reactive current minimization. It includes 16 digital inputs, 16 digital relay outputs across two modules, 4 adjustable analog inputs, and an RJ45 service interface. Tap position capture is adjustable via analog or digital signals including BCD, DUAL, GRAY, 0(4) to 20 mA, or resistor contact series. The unit comes complete with an installation set including a patch cable, plug, and installation instructions.
