The TAPCON 230 B/P/E (nur für Leitsystemprotokoll IEC61850) is an electronic regulator device specifically designed for control system protocol IEC 61850 Edition 1 operation via Ethernet and 1300 nm fiber optic (LWL-LC) interfaces. Powered by an 88 to 265 V AC/DC supply voltage, it features a graphic display, plug-in terminal cable connections, and programmable inputs and outputs alongside freely assignable LEDs. Control capabilities include higher/lower operation, automatic/local/remote modes, three selectable setpoints, and linear or integral algorithms supported by a NORM set for simplified commissioning. It performs single-phase voltage and current measurements, displaying values such as U, I, S, P, Q, cos phi, and f. Additional functions comprise integrated monitoring, undervoltage and overcurrent blocking, rapid voltage-surge reversal, Line Drop Compensation (LDC), Z-compensation, parallel operation for up to six transformers using master/follower methods and circulating reactive current minimization, BCD tap position detection, and an auxiliary power supply of 60V DC and 15VA for binary inputs.
