The TAPCON 230 Expert is an automatic voltage regulator designed for the regulation, control, and monitoring of voltage power transformers. It features a compact housing design measuring 218 mm x 324 mm x 150 mm including the mating plug. The unit is equipped with a central processor unit, a power supply supporting 85 to 265 V AC/DC, an auxiliary voltage supply of 110 V DC for digital inputs, voltage measurement at 100 V AC, and current measurement at 10 A or 5A with an output load under 1 VA. For communication, it includes an RJ45 service interface, alongside expanded control system connection interfaces such as Ethernet RJ45, RS232, and RS485 supporting Modbus RTU, TCP, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-101, 104, and IEC 61850 Ed. 2 protocols. The TAPCON 230 Expert supports parallel operation for up to 16 transformers via galvanic isolated CAN, featuring tap synchronization and circulating reactive current minimization. Additional hardware includes 16 digital inputs, 16 digital relay outputs, 4 adjustable analog inputs, and adjustable tap position capture using analog or digital signals.
