The TAPCON BU is an automatic voltage regulator designed for the regulation, control, and monitoring of adjustable 19-inch power transformers. Built into a 19-inch rack mount housing according to DIN 41494 part 5 measuring 483 x 133 x 178 mm (84teX3HE), the unit features a modular hardware assembly with an internal 24 VDC power supply. The front assembly HMI includes a full graphic 5.7 color display (640 x 480 pixels), operated via rotary wheel and function keys, alongside an RJ45 front interface for device parameterization. It supports local and remote operating modes, manual and auto AVR control functions, role-based user management, and encrypted data transfer via SSL. The unit includes a DIO 28-15 digital input/output module, a UI 1 power measurement module, and comprehensive monitoring functions for voltage, current, power, and phase angle.
