The Coperion ZRD 400.1-42-GC rotary valve is engineered for handling dry, free-flowing, and abrasive coal dust with a minimum bulk density of 400 kg/m³ and a particle size design of 0.5 mm. It achieves an output of 20,000 kg/h, featuring a 42 dm³ rotary wheel volume, a 79% fill level, and an operating speed of 25 rpm under pressureless discharge conditions. Built with a GG cast iron housing featuring a DUROCHROM 100µm hard-chromed housing hole, GG cast iron side covers hard-chromed inside, and a steel rotary wheel, the unit includes bare internal metal surfaces for ATEX compliance. It is driven by an SEW helical gear motor (0.75 kW, 27 rpm, IP 55, IE3 efficiency class) with a 1:2 chain drive ratio, suitable for variable speed operation from 10 to 100 Hz. The ZRD 400.1-42-GC is certified for ATEX Zone 20 inside (II1D) and Zone 2/22 outside (II3GD), offering a 10 bar explosion pressure shock resistance.
